- Physical therapy is a scientific based clinical application for restoration, maintenance, and promotion of optimal physical function. Physical Therapists diagnose and manage movement dysfunction and enhance physical and functional abilities.
-Functional capacity exam is a set of tests, practices, and observations that are combined to determine the ability of a person to function in a variety of circumstances, most often employment, in an objective manner. At Total Rehab we are trained in and use ErgoSCIENCE based exam software.
- Impairment rating is a calculated percentage that represents the degree to which an individual's impairment restricts normal function.  Impairment ratings are given to an individual based off of a physical exam, record review, and guidelines set forth by the AMA's 6th edition Guide to Permanent Impairment.  At Total Rehab, we are trained in using the 6th edition guide, which is the standard for the state of Mississippi.
